What Affects the Cost of a Wedding Cake?
Ultimately, the cost of your wedding cake depends on four things:
- Your budget
- The number of servings you need
- The style and level of detail in the design
- Most importantly, the skill level and experience of your wedding cake designer
Every Love From Luisa cake is made to order using sustainably sourced, premium ingredients — and each design is costed based on the time, skill, and materials required. The more detailed or elaborate the design, the higher the cost per tier.
I can work within most realistic budgets and will always offer honest, transparent pricing upfront. When you enquire, I’ll provide an initial estimate. After our consultation and once I have a better idea of your style and requirements, I’ll send you a detailed quote so you can make an informed decision.
How to Calculate the Right Cake Size
You don’t always need a slice for every guest — especially if you’re serving dessert. Some couples cater to 70–80% of their guest list and save significantly on cost without losing impact.
Example:
If you’re having 100 guests and only need cake for 70%, that’s 70 servings. You might choose a 3-tier cake with 85 servings to give you a buffer, or a 2-tier cake with additional kitchen cutting cake behind the scenes.

- More servings and size flexibility

A statement piece that’s bold, beautiful, and completely bespoke
From £660+ (for a 3-tier Edible Pressed Flower or Lambeth design)
Includes:
- Custom structure and stand options
- Floating tiers, sculpted flowers, gold accents, dramatic design
- Ideal if cake is your centrepiece
Delivery & Consultations
I offer free wedding cake delivery across East Sussex. For weddings outside of East Sussex, I’ll calculate and quote delivery costs separately based on distance from my studio.
