I founded Love from Luisa in 2020, but my cake-making journey began years earlier. With 12 years of professional cake-baking experience since 2012, I’ve been crafting custom wedding cakes since 2016. When hiring a wedding cake designer, you want someone who meets all the legal and professional standards. I am proud to be fully licensed and insured, with the following qualifications:

While you’ll get an accurate price estimate from me, there are a few additional costs to keep in mind if you want to embellish your wedding cake further:

• Cake Toppers: Personalised acrylic toppers from £28 (yours to keep as a wedding memento). For examples see here.
• Cake Stand Hire: £30 admin fee + £80 refundable deposit.
• Delivery:
  • Free delivery within East Sussex locations like Brighton, Hove, Lewes, Haywards Heath, and more.
  • Delivery to other locations like Kent and Surrey can be quoted during your consultation.

If you have a strict budget for your wedding cake, here are some tips to help you save:

• Reduce servings: Consider catering for 70% to 80% of your guest list to lower costs by up to 30%.
• Go for buttercream or ganache instead of fondant—this is a more cost-effective cake finish that still looks fantastic.
• Fresh flowers from your florist are often the most budget-friendly option instead of intricate sugar work.

Booking Your Wedding Cake

When you’re ready to move forward with your wedding cake, here’s how to proceed:

Consultation: Via email or phone call – whichever is your preference

Deposit: To secure your date, I require a £200 deposit. Once the deposit is paid, your order is confirmed and I block out the date for your cake in my diary.

Please note, I also have a minimum order of £500 for key Saturdays in the summer.

Final Payment:
The final payment is due 6 weeks before delivery, ensuring ample time for preparation.

All quoted prices include free delivery to local areas such as Brighton, Hove, Lewes, Horsham, and many more East Sussex wedding venues. If your venue is located further away, I’ll provide a custom delivery quote to ensure smooth logistics for your cake on your wedding day.
